Riverwalk is a 5km walk along the Brisbane river raising funds for families to provide support and care for their loved ones with brain injury or developmental disability. The walk this year is taking place during Brain Injury Awareness Week. There are prizes up for grabs as well as a free sausage sizzle. For more information please visit the website.
If you love to dress up like a zombie then this walk is for you! Walking from Wickham Park to the Valley where there will be an after party, everyone dresses and walks like a zombie to raise money for the Brain Foundation of Australia. The Bluearth Foundation (Bluearth)
is a registered charity founded in 2000. It is operated with the express purpose of improving health and preventing diseases of sedentary living by providing programs and information for the development and integration of body, mind and spirit through participation in physical activity.
In 2009 the Jadin Chemist Group donated $10,000 towards helping provide a program in schools to assist students in improving their abilities both physically and academically.
The Caboolture Little Athletics Association
The Jadin Chemist Group proudly sponsors The Caboolture Little Athletics Association. Over the past few years annual donations have been provided to the Association, allowing them to purchase sporting equipment and maintain their athletics grounds.
Jadin in the Community
Jadin Chemist Group proudly sponsors a number of organisations, both sporting and charitable each year. We culturally have a strong belief in corporate philanthropy and wish to continue and potentially build on the years of support that we have provided for a wide variety of recipients. We aspire to a corporate model within our business and believe that as we grow we should also be in a position to continue to assist worthy causes.
From January 2010 we will be participating in various charity and local events. In our pharmacies we will be supporting different charities by selling merchandise and raising awareness to our customers. We will be encouraging our employees to take part in events in and around Brisbane by subsidising registration fees and supplying free sports t-shirts. Our aim is to not only raise money for some great causes but to promote and encourage our employees to live active, healthy lifestyles.
This year our major focus is to support the Australian Red Cross by allowing our employees to give blood at local Donation Centres during work time. Each of these donations will help save up to 3 lives and contribute towards the 26,000 donations Australia needs each week. As an organisation committed to the health and well being of our customers and staff we believe this is an extremely worthy cause.
